“The Happy Place” River Front Cabin

Cozy clean cabin. The cabin had everything we needed and We enjoyed our stay with our two doggies. The host was also very responsive.

The inside of the property was nice . Kitchen was fully functional. The outside of the property you couldn’t access due to risk of snakes. The grass was knee high , there were random dogs “big dogs “ from other properties that had to be recalled that roamed onto the property that potentially was a threat or risk of attack to my son and myself . This is an extremely remote location with no way to close the home from outside view except from curtains in the 2 rooms . I’ve stayed at a lot of remote locations as a hiker of many waterfalls and trails. The openness to the inside of the property without privacy of closing the home inside was really a concern with homeowners across the creek . The rental agreement was 9 pages and in great detail. There was fans and other trash in view under the property and the creek access was very dense and worrisome of snakes. Dogs barking for hours across the creek . Overall I wouldn’t choose this property and wouldn’t recommend to anyone I love or the hiking community . The cost , the property agreement also not having access to the yard and roaming shepherd dogs being unpredictable was not worth the money spent. Overall it was a scary and stressful experience. Host was responsive when the dog was watching me from 10 feet away, also other guests prior stays leftover wash rags were left in the bathroom dark hair in bathroom . The quality of overall stay was poor . Nobody wants to hike 9 miles and come back to barking&being watched in the yard .
